About Us

Peekye Hill Social Organization (PHISO) was founded in 1998 by Kami Sherpa, borne in the village of Goli Gumba and living in Kathmandu. He first started with sponsoring personally 2 teachers to transfer the precious knowledge of the old lamas (Monks) to the young boys and girls of the village of Goli.

The program proved very fruitful and successfully created a number of young Monks. This success was very enthusiastic though not enough. He then felt that only the monastic education cannot transform the society in the current situation and by a single person's financial support cannot help to a society, so the Peekye Hill Organization was established to help the helpless people as a bridge between the people living in the utmost rural area and the people well educated and living in well developed society.
